There is new misinformation I came across where sunscreen and sunblock were called different .
It’s not.

❌No sunblock doesn’t refer to physical sunscreen .

▪️Sunblock is an old term which is not used anymore as people feel that when they apply a sunblock, it gives 100% protection against UV rays. Because it contains the term “block” it is misleading and people don’t follow appropriate sun avoidance measures when applying a “sunblock”.

▪️Sunscreen filters are of two types :
1.Organic or chemical filters
2. Inorganic or physical filters

When both the filters are present, it’s called hybrid sunscreen.

▪️Sunscreens with only inorganic filters are called mineral sunscreen or physical susncreen and not sunblock.
