In this video I review and showcase the very well designed 1966 Classic Batmobile set from Lego. I also cover off how to do some very simple mods to improve the look of this model (see further below in this video description) and talk about several fails I had while shooting this video!

Here are the part replacements & mods I did to my set to give the model a clean and sleek all-black (with red highlights) look:

At step 32, replace the 4x6 modified tile (part #6180) in Medium Stone Grey with the same part in Black colour
(Note for the above step you can go with the Medium Stone Grey modified tile part if you like and cover up the top of it with 2x 2x4 tiles (part #87079) in Black as an alternate option. Do this after build step 88.)

At steps 47 & 48, replace the 1x3 plates (part #3623) in Medium Stone Grey with the same part in Black colour.

At step 55, replace the 1x2 bracket (part #99780) in Medium Stone Grey with the same part in Black colour.

At step 63, replace the 2x6 plate (part #3795) in Yellow with the same part in Black colour.

At step 74, add a 1x1 round plate (part #4073) in Black behind the clear round tiles, for each of the headlight assemblies.

At step 76, replace the stud shooters with 2x 1x4 plates (part #3710) in Black.

After step 79, add: 2x 1x2 tiles (part #3069) and 2x 2x1 sloped pieces (part #11477), all in Black, to complete the bonnet. See the photo of my model at the end of the video for more intel.

At step 82, replace the 2x 2x2 hinge plates (part #6134) in Medium Stone Grey with the same parts in Black colour.

At step 84, replace the 2x 1x2 plates with a clip (part #63868) in Medium Stone Grey with the same parts in Black colour.

At step 85, replace the 4x 1x2 plates with a stud (part #15573) in Medium Stone Grey with the same parts in Black colour.

At step 89 ,replace the 2x 1x2 plates with a clip (part #63868) in Medium Stone Grey with the same parts in Black colour.
Also at step 89, replace the 2x small bushes in Medium Stone Grey with 2x 1x1 round plates with an open stud (part #85861) in Black colour.

At step 98, replace the translucent red cone with a 1x1 round tile (part #98138) also in translucent red colour.
Also at step 89, replace the 1x1 modified tile with a clip with a small antenna (part #4592) also in Black colour.

...and that's all!
