
Kui “Adai”. Author – Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly (1818-1896). Kui is a musical composition without signing. In the past, kuis were learned by heart and passed from generation to generation without written fixation. Kurmangazy is a famous Kazakh composer who was born in Western Kazakhstan. Various heroic tales and legends found their musical reflection in his kuis. Kui “Adai” transmits the bravery and courage of the Adai tribe from Western Kazakhstan. The video also reflects the history of Kazakh Khanate, established in 1465. Life was never easy and Kazakhs always had to protect and defend their vast territories from enemies.
