At the start of this year, I felt lost. Our YouTube channel wasn’t growing, and self-doubt started creeping in. I found myself comparing our journey to others, wondering if our videos were even good enough. But as I reflected on this, I realized—this isn’t just about YouTube. It’s about confidence, self-acceptance, and learning to stop seeking validation from others.

In today’s video, I open up about these struggles while we continue renovating our French farmhouse. We’re removing an old cement layer in the barn, tidying up the garden, and even giving our dog a much-needed haircut! Slowly but surely, we’re making progress—on both the house and within ourselves.

We, Jeroen, Colinda and our 3 children Luca, Fleur, and Jules, have exchanged the Netherlands for the French countryside in August 2022. At that time, we hadn't yet purchased a house, only sold our house in the Netherlands.

In December , we finally bought our dream home, an old farmhouse in the Lot et Garonne, which could use a little love.

And now, we are busy renovating, beautifying the garden, and simply living our daily lives here in the beautiful French countryside. Because this is a very special period in our lives, and we want to show our children (later on) that they should always pursue their dreams, no matter how scary they may seem. We want to document this for the future, as memories tend to fade quickly.

And hopefully, our story will inspire you to pursue your dreams as well because after all, you only live once.
