
Teachers from different universities of the country participated in the programme that started at 12:00pm and continued till 3:00pm at the base of Aparajeya Bangla on the DU campus.
DU economics department Assistant Professor Rushad Faridi said, 'Students are like children to a vice-chancellor. We think students' demands are not unfair. Even if the demands of the students are wrong, no father can call the police and beat the children.’
Jahangirnagar University economics department professor Anu Mohammad said, ‘The students were made spineless by the ruling party student organisation. Today, when the students are engaged in the movement for their just demands, they are being persecuted.’
