Geologist Ian Plimer criticises the COP29 conference as he calls for the event to be scrapped. "This is an absolute rort - it is time that these COP functions were stopped," Mr Plimer told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
"They have nothing to do with climate, they are all to do with highway robbery, they have nothing to do with the environment and they have nothing to do with science."
"We cannot change the way that the sun operates and earth orbits and those are the two factors driving climate."
