Roberto Serrano; plays with Jesus Adrian Romero. Do not be swayed by the fact that these songs are in Spanish. There is a world of rhythmic information in these songs. The songs are more contemporary in nature and the hand percussion is often featured. Two albums to listen to are:

Darius congas are a feature on the classic hit Gospel song "More, More, More" by Joan Roario
His work with Fred Hammond is legendary. "Show yourself Strong" and "Lord of the Harvest" are full of brilliant percussion.
