#youtubers ' We have been working with a new producer and a couple of extra collaborator musicians the past few weeks ' we're trying to find a medium between what this illustrious producer thinks we are ' and what we actually are ' he favours the indie rock sound we are more about experimental electronics and somewhere in the middle between indie ' and electronic 'experimental.You will not find any hype around us ' it's a deliberate avoidance strategy ' we are JUST about the music and communicating with people via the music ' and that's it' really . we are open to low key interviews and things 'but nobody can really find us which is again deliberate . we don't announce any live gig we just quietly turn up and do it ' and if you've been at any thank you for turning up :)
I love especially 'spacemen 3 and the fall who found the perfect balance between experimental and polished ' And there are definitely all those experimental aspects making their way into our live gigs and this song works as a live song ,we have recently been doing a few little gigs here and there and the live audiences like this song ' but the live one has the ms20 drone still in it ' which is the missing crucial element in this demo .
The song is about going back to the place where you spent some of your life as a kid ' and all the emotions and struggles to make sense of a place so familiar yet alien .
We probably won't fully record this as a final version song ' it sounds ok as a demo or a live song but if we were taking this song forward to record it' we'd have to tweak it a lot .
When we first started jamming this idea ' forming this song it was just a bass drone from an ms20 arpeggiated and a few twangs of guitar sampled into a korg kaoss pad looper device and mangled and mostly dark'moody' lower octave singing and it sounded like an experiment ' and i have to say that's how i preferred it . it's now been turned into a song .
The song itself will probably appear again or bits of it ' in something else we do .
