Description:
In this video we'll talk about the two most interesting islands in the world. I'm talking about the Diomede islands, the big one being part of Russia and the small one being part of the United States of America. During winter, because the water is frozen you can travel on foot between the two islands, but that's not the subject of this video. The interesting part is that if you travel from the Small Diomede(USA) to the Big Diomede(Russia) you'll technically travel back in time.
We'll talk more about all of this in this video, so make sure you do not miss it.
Feel free to write your opinion about this in the commnets.
Hope you'll enjoy the video!

Transcript:
These two islands are very close and also very far away at the same time. These are The Diomede islands and right between them, through the Bering Strait, there is the maritime border shared by the United States and Russia.
On a map, the distance between the two islands looks very small, and it is indeed only 5 kilometers. In winter conditions you can even walk between Russia and United States as the Bering Strait is completely frozen. An average man would walk the distance in one hour, but starting from the little Diomede at 10 AM in the morning, you’ll arrive on the big Diomede at 8 AM on the following day. This small journey will technically take around 22 hours.
This is because of the time zones. Russian side has the GMT + 12 while the USA side has the GMT minus 9
If you walk from Russia to USA, you will practically travel back in time with 20 hours.
