"After the grim album entitled "The occult summoner" (HDK 132), Davide Ricci, young champion of Italian synth-music, returns to our radar. This new album is characterized by a decisive turn towards different musical styles compared to the dark-ambient sound of the previous one: the union between dungeon-synth and Berlin School is nothing new: many artists have proposed it in the past, but Davide Ricci does it by adding a certain vague new age sensibility that we loved right away.

“Awaiting the dragon” is a spiritual and meditative dungeon-synth album, fully in line with the tale that is the backdrop to the songs: a story that talks about waiting and ancestral mysteries that hide in the depths of the earth..."
