On our 4Runner we do a complete front suspension inspection and replace the balljoints on SPC upper control arms, along with installing new ToyTec coilovers. All done on our 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner.
We were coming to the end of life on our three year old ToyTec Lifts Boss 2.5 coil overs. We could have had them rebuilt back to brand new, but instead we opted to go with their new Aluma Series lift kit. While we were at it we did a thorough inspection of all our front suspension components, replaced the upper ball joints on our SPC upper control arms, and checked to see if our lower control arm cam bolts where frozen. We took it to our favorite alignment shop and worked on the alignment specs. After that we go for a long road trip to test and compare old vs. the new 4Runner lift kit.
