I finally tracked this beast! After years of trying but for some reason I always struggled to get GPS signal onboard the Dreamliner.

This was a recent Late-night departure from Singapore to Seoul aboard a Scoot 787, and I was seated right by the engine, capturing every decibel of that powerful Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 take-off.

I was tracking the plane takeoff speed on my speedometer and notice At exactly 300 km/h, the aircraft lifted off, but what surprised me was the immediate post-liftoff drop in speed, a subtle deceleration I’ve never noticed before. I was tracking the velocity in real time. everything in kilometres.
