I spent the greater part of my life working the Solaran mineral fields. I wouldn’t recommend it. Decades of exposure to sub ground pollution and complete sunlight deprivation has rendered me a feeble old thing. But when I was given the opportunity for retirement, I took it. My life savings was immediately put into a small plot of land with an old shack on the tropical beach planet of Lumea in the Hareon System. I didn’t have more than a bag of belongings worth keeping anyways, so I jumped on the next shuttle off of Solara and made my way to Lumea. I can’t describe the feelings of a fresh breeze across my face, waves rolling in at my feet, and the beauty of sunlight surrounding me every day. I often look out towards this star system’s red sun, and it reminds me of those still toiling away, harvesting objects that keep the rich wealthy. And if nothing else, it serves as a reminder of where I was and how hard I worked to get here. But I’ve made my choice, I wish the same for those on Solara, and I couldn’t be happier.
