-- FR -- Quand vous écoutez CREEPING FEAR, et tout particulièrement leur 3ème nouvelle boucherie death metal Realm Of The Impaled (@DoloremRecords), on se demande s'il s'agit bien d'un groupe français qui joue (mais bon ça c'était avant l'effet GOJIRA aux J.O. de Paris 2024, mais les clichés d'il y a 30 ou 40 ans ont la dent dure...), et surtout on ne peut s'empêcher de penser aux maîtres du genre notamment en termes de brutalité mais aussi de production sonore : CRYPTOPSY, HATE ETERNAL, CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE, etc. C'est vous dire le haut niveau !! Sauf que ça ne s'arrête pas là car CREEPING FEAR est un quatuor originaire de l'Ile-de-France, et possède son propre univers, certes typique du death metal, mais est aussi une machine de guerre sur scène, et qui plus humainement sympathique. Alors il ne nous en fallait pas plus pour faire leur connaissance, avec en l'occurrence son guitariste/chanteur Clément Ducouret, depuis le temps ! Un conseil : foncez écouter Realm Of The Impaled qui a bien failli être notre album du mois de juin s'il n'y avait pas eu autant de concurrence (CRYPTOPSY, ORTHODOX, SODOM, KING WITCH...).

-- ENG -- When you listen to CREEPING FEAR, and especially their 3rd new death metal butchery Realm Of The Impaled ( @DoloremRecords ), you wonder if it is really a French band that plays (but hey, that was before the GOJIRA effect at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but clichés from 30 or 40 years ago die hard...), and above all you can't help but think of the masters of the genre, especially in terms of brutality but also sound production: CRYPTOPSY, HATE ETERNAL, CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE, etc. That's to tell you the high level!! Except that it doesn't stop there because CREEPING FEAR is a quartet from the Ile-de-France region, and has its own universe, certainly typical of death metal, but is also a war machine on stage, and more humanly friendly. So we didn't need any more to get to know them, after all this time!
