In September 2020, Sadler’s Wells teamed up with Hofesh Shechter Company to take a closer look at the visceral, ground-breaking work of choreographer Hofesh Shechter, for two weeks of brand new content on our Digital Stage.
We featured an on-demand screening of Grand Finale, a vision of a dystopian world in freefall that is both bleak and beautiful. Part gig, part dance and part theatre, this bold work was first debuted in Paris in 2017 and went on to see international success. Grand Finale is no longer available online, but you can enjoy three dance workshops with the company.
Explore the distinctive movement style of Hofesh Shechter, in a Get Into Dance Workshop for all levels and abilities. Hosted by the Company’s Associate Artistic Director Bruno Guillore alongside dancers Frédéric Despierre, Rachel Fallon and Yeji Kim, participants will experience the Company’s daily warm-up. Watch it here:
Get involved by Moving Through Hofesh Shechter’s Grand Finale: a chance to delve deeper into the work by learning two short extracts of choreography from Grand Finale. Explore this euphoric and tribal-inspired piece of dance wherever you are in the world.
