After some time, back to a hybrid approach. An awesome feature of the Digitakt II is its ability to change each of its 16 tracks to MIDI tracks - that's what I did here with tracks 5, 6 and 7. I sent them out via USB to Ableton where they are triggering 3 instances of Kontakt with Spitfire's Evolution Strings. The rest is all samples on the Digitakt, and a somewhat improvised pass through this piece.Get the gear:
