This is my Tropicana Las Vegas Demolition update taken on Thursday, December 12, 2024. The video starts with me driving next to the Tropicana site. I'm heading south down Las Vegas BLVD turning east onto Tropicana Ave. I'm still not used to not seeing a building over the construction wall. I then go to the OYO Hotel parking garage. As you can see, both towers are about completely gone. I got to the site right before the demo crew started their lunch break so there is just a little footage of the excavators doing their work. I was still surprised to see the water cooler still standing. Crews are getting closer but it survived another week. The tree is also still standing. It has lost all of it's leaves but there is still a table under it so it will probably be sticking around for a little while longer.
