My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Sicily and had an overnight layover in Naples. I went on what i thought was a hotel booking website to get a place to stay for the night and just booked the first i saw- without looking into it very much. We were surprised to arrive in a not-so-great area of Naples when our taxi driver took us to the address. We still decided to check it out and was greeted by Antonio, the Italian man in the video, and could instantly feel his excitement to host us and show us around his property. He does not speak english, and we do not speak Italian, so we were using google translate back and forth. It was about midnight and we were hungry and asked him where we could find some food, which then turned into him giving us a tour of his house then taking us to his friends pizza shop. They were all so welcoming and a lot of fun to hangout with for the night. We did not get any sleep since we had to leave at 4am for our next flight and we spend the night making calzones with Italians instead, and antonio drove us to the airport! We are going back to Naples at the end of our trip and have already planned to go back to the pizza shop to eat and thank them again for their hospitality. Antonio said he wants to pick us up from the airport when we come back! I am so excited to show him how many thousands of strangers on the internet are inspired by his hospitality.
