Qatar Airways ends AIRBUS A340-600 service

QATAR AIRWAYS has operated its final scheduled revenue flight on the Airbus A340-600 (A7-AGD) from Bangkok to Doha. To celebrate the event and for the many A340 fans out there we put a short video together showing the A340-600 at Bangkok filmed a few weeks ago by the JustPlanes team for an upcoming Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport film.

Qatar Airways only operated its 4 A340-600 for a little over 12 years. It took delivery of the first aircraft in September 2006.

A total of 97 A340-600 were delivered between 2002 and 2010, currently half a dozen airlines still operate the aircraft : Azerbaijan Airlines, Iberia, Lufthansa Mahan Air and Virgin Atlantic
