When was the last time you had a conversation where you disagreed with someone... and it was respectful?
If there's one thing my good friend Dr. Sean McDowell is passionate about, it's this: how to have productive and respectful conversations with those we disagree with. In the past, this is why I adored apologetics so much. Two people would passionately debate a topic, then set their differences aside with a high five, go to dinner together, and even share pictures of their kids. That kind of camaraderie feels rare today. Many people might fear being "canceled" by their "tribe" or criticized for associating with someone who holds opposing views. Perhaps this shift is because so many spiritual topics have become emotionally charged and unnecessarily divisive. We all sense this tension. And we all feel it. So let's talk about it.
