As promised here is my review and unboxing video of the Steppenwolf: Magic Carpet Ride 8CD Box Set from Esoteric Recordings and Cherry Red Records.
The Box Set covers the Dunhill / ABC Years from 1967 - 1971

The remastering is by Paschal Byrne who has done a wonderful job. The improvement in sound is like night and day.

This set brings together the original eight albums well together well, and I’d go so far as to say it’s essential. There’s so much more to the band than a couple of hit singles everyone knows. And with the box, booklet and complete singles edits as bonuses, it’s a very fine package and long overdue.
