Here’s a brilliant EP with four moody garage gems, released on Falk in 1966. I pretend I’m with you was originally a B-side for The Searchers. The band hailed from the small town of Eksjö, Sweden, and this was their only release. They were influenced by bands like The Searchers and Gerry & The Pacemakers, two bands who they chose to cover on this EP. The Shandies does the songs very well, with a simple production and they add a great ”Scandinavian moodiness & punkiness” to the tunes which definitely are missing on the originals.
