Amazon Just Walk Out tech is actually 1000 India workers watching footage. The tech giant has just scrapped the technology across all its Amazon Fresh stores after it emerged that it had been relying on more than 1000 Indian workers to watch the footage and ensure the checkouts were accurate. The information alleges that over 70% of sales relied on these human reviewers across Amazon stores globally.Amazon will be switching to Dash Carts instead. Dash Carts are trolleys fitted with a self scan device, inbuilt scale and a touchscreen for live receipts. It's not yet known what this will mean for Amazon Fresh, but it's clear that the stores will be different once the technology is removed.
