This is one of my favorite (deep deep deep) house tracks of all time; I've looked around YouTube and this rare, original mix my Pal Joey isn't uploaded so I'm filling that void - only the Joey Negro mixes from 4 years later are up. This magical version of "Choose Me" by the legendary NY producer Pal Joey (Joseph Longo) is only available on the rare compilation "Rewind", Republic Records from 1990. Republic Records was a label owned & operated by the great Dave Lee aka super-producer Joey Negro. I first heard this beautiful track on a few early mixes on the radio - don't recall exactly which shows off hand but Tony Humphries was among them. After trying and failing to locate this 12" at various record shops back when I was very young I finally found it at a record convention in 1992 - like a pirate snagging treasure! This is one of the best compilations of all time IMO, and features other rare tracks including Logarhythm's "Jungle", super underground and mixed by Nightmares on Wax, as well as the gorgeous "Can't Get Over Your Love" by Simphonia. Enjoy one of the deepest records of all time...
