"Like" My Facebook Page for More Exclusive Music! Growing up in Detroit definitely made me fall in love with many different genres of music. From the amazing artist and musicians to the major labels that were being run in the city when I was a kid. But my main influence like so many of my peers in the early 80's was an iconic DJ named "The Electrifying Mojo" or just Mojo for short. Mojo played everything from Funk to Jazz, New Wave to Rock and Roll. But Mojo was probably best known for playing Prince! Mojo started with his early releases and wouldn't just play one song or two. Mojo would play the entire side of a record and then turn around and "Run it Right Back." His musical freedom on the airwaves WGPR (At the time) was unprecedented. I absolutely fell in love with Price's music during those days. I became a Prince album collector and went to all of his shows in Detroit and he visited us quite often as a direct result of Mojo's exposure. My favorite Prince album was and is "1999" and my favorite song is still "Something in The Water" (Does Not Compute). The past few years I have slipped in a few Prince Edits into my DJ Sets so I wanted to have a personal version of this classic to play as well. Enjoy...
