We often get asked how we managed to learn and practice our own cultural dance while living thousands of miles away from our family and the place of origin of our art-form.
Although we used to dance the bhangra while we were living back in India, we started to get more involved in our culture, dance, and history after starting the group. We utilized many resources such as audio-visual content, books, and learning directly from the elders.
This made us learn more about who we are, where we came from, and most importantly who we can be in the future. However, none of this would have been possible without being able to access digital resources via the internet and other forms of telecommunication.
Nonetheless, this serves as another reminder to us on why being able to access digital resources is so important.
