The dogs we keep as pets are not only great companions but also remarkable workers. But did you know dogs are part of a much larger, more diverse family than you might realize. Domestic dogs are just one branch of a fascinating family tree that extends into the wild, where their cousins lead lives full of adventure, challenge, and survival. Today, we're going on an exciting journey to take a closer look at these remarkable wild relatives and discover the untamed worlds they inhabit.

Let's start with wolves. Found in diverse habitats across the globe, from the icy Arctic tundra to lush forests and mountainous regions, wolves are the epitome of pack life. They live in well-structured social groups, each with a hierarchy that ensures order and efficiency. These wolves communicate with a complex array of vocalizations, body language, and scents. African Wild Dogs are cunning predators. Common prey typical prey includes swift and agile animals like impalas and gazelles, as well as smaller creatures such as warthogs and hares.
