Inspired by the sounds of classic Detroit electro and UK acid, London-based Shinra has been making music for a few years, with a couple of releases on WIDE Records back in 2008 and 2010. After a long quiet period, he re-emerged in 2015 with an appearance on Balkan Vinyl's Mutant City Acid 2 compilation (alongside his heroes Hardfloor), followed up with a well received EP on Null+Void and an appearance on Paris's InFiné. The Ball & Chain EP 12" on Null+Void Records is a good showcase for his melodic electro style, gaining strong support from a wide range of DJs, with the track "Fallen" selected for a Boiler Room debut. He's currently working on a couple of new projects and continuing to hone his skills.
