World Premiere! The Arrows - Chains (Official Music Video)For the first time anywhere online, we present the official music video for "Chains" by Canadian band The Arrows. This is from their 1985 album "The Lines Are Open" (A&M Records), the follow-up to their breakout debut "Stand Back".
"Chains" was the third single from the album, and this video, along with the videos for "Talk Talk" and "Heart of the City", were filmed in Toronto over just a few days. Lead singer and songwriter Dean McTaggart (who generously provided a VHS copy of these videos) recalls the shoots costing "well into the six figures" – a massive budget at the time. The three videos were shot by Champagne Films, which was a big video company in Toronto at the time, and that the band didn't have a lot of input into them.
