Bon Scott became AC/DC's lead singer in 1974, which greatly contributed to their early success. It was his captivating stage presence as well as his distinctive vocals that defined the band's signature sound. He solidified AC/DC's place in rock history with hit albums such as "High Voltage," "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," and "Let There Be Rock." Sadly, Scott died of acute alcohol poisoning at the age of 33 in 1980. Despite his premature death, his legacy as an electrifying frontman and his role in shaping AC/DC's influential rock style remain revered in music history.
Following Bon Scott's death in 1980, Brian Johnson became AC/DC's lead singer. His debut album with the band, "Back in Black," was a massive success. It was Johnson's powerful vocals that fueled AC/DC's continued success through the decades, contributing to hit albums such as "The Razors Edge," "Black Ice," and "For Those About to Rock We Salute You." Following a temporary hiatus from AC/DC caused by hearing problems, Johnson returned and continued to contribute to the band's success.
