Today is the grand opening of the newest addition to the Las Vegas Strip, Sphere! Sphere at the Venetian Resort is a massive music and entertainment venue that will be used to host concerts, award shows, cinema, and sporting events. The venue’s grand opening will be headlined by legendary rock band U2, who will also have a residency there called U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere. This state-of-the-art venue will serve to provide their guests with a multi-sensory and immersive experience! This 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide venue contains 17,600 seats. Sphere-goers will be surrounded by a 160,000-square-foot LED media plane and 167,000 speakers. Other immersion techniques include vibrating seats and scent and temperature and wind technology!
