The Easter Walk is part of Goethe's Faust I. It describes how Faust and Wagner set out for a stroll on Easter Sunday, taking a spring walk. Spring returns, winter gives way. Everything is created anew, people go outside and enjoy the new world.I tried to transform Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's poem into a kind of poem video, using instrumental music I composed myself. The music is very experimental and not to everyone's taste.
Accompanying poems with music has always been an enormous challenge. Of course, you can recite the poem. But if you don't want to do that, you'll have to find other options.
On the occasion of Easter 2025, I'm publishing this short video and hope that I can use it to show people this wonderful poem.
