Sav’ell Smalls has decided to make an adjustment to his future in Boulder. The former five-star edge rusher is moving to tight end at Colorado starting next season.


The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Washington transfer was one of the nation’s top recruits from the 2020 class and fits more naturally with the Buffs offense. Smalls was a MaxPreps All-American as a two-way star at Kennedy Catholic (Washington). Being one of the top defensive minds will be crucial to his transition at this level.
