Labour unrest has halted trade traffic at Canada's two busiest ports: Vancouver and Montreal.

According to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the combined work stoppages impacts the flow of $1.2 billion worth of goods daily.

Supply chain experts are warning of the domino effect that will ripple through the country’s economy as the labour disputes halt the flow of goods in and out of the country's two most important trade ports.
