Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Tuesday that Ukrainian forces had captured two Chinese men fighting for Russia in eastern Ukraine.It was not immediately clear whether the captured men were regular soldiers, and Beijing has not commented on the matter.
“Russia’s involvement of China, along with other countries, whether direct or indirectly, in this war in Europe is a clear signal that Putin intends to do anything but end the war,” Zelenskyy said, adding that he hoped America would pay attention to Russia’s actions as the Trump administration seeks to negotiate an end to the three-year-war.
