Mesa County Sheriff's Office takes responsibility of in U of U student's ICE arrest

Several law officers in Colorado face disciplinary measures stemming from the case of a Utah student who was arrested.

ICE agents took Caroline Gonclaves into custody last month for overstaying her visa.

ICE got the tip from a Mesa County Sheriff's deputy. The Sheriff's office says their deputies should not have had any role in these kinds of cases.

As a result, two deputies have been placed on -leave and others reprimanded.
