Texas Blues Groove on Electric Guitar


Every now and then even the most dedicated acoustic blues player needs to pick up an electric guitar and bang out some Texas Style Blues...right?

In this lesson, we'll take a look at a John Lee Hooker, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan inspired rhythmic tune. The piece get's it's "Texas" from the driving beat that really accents the upbeat.

Of course, there's got to be a few nice guitar runs thrown in there if you're going to play some Texas blues. This lesson has a nice repeating lick idea that develops as it moves through the tried and true 12 bar blues progression.
