🇬🇧 It was a nervous morning here at Purnon! In order to save the Chateau chai (barrel room) we needed to allow a large barn wall to fall down safely. The barn was falling and pulling the chai down with it.Under the instruction of the Monument Historique and with the approval of our architect, our incredibly talented stonemasons set to work to save the chai … have a look and see how they went!

🇫🇷 Purnon à connu une matinée critique ce matin! Pour sauver le chai du château, nous devions faire tomber, en sécurité, le mur massif d'une grange. Ce mur menaçait de s'écrouler en emportant le chai avec lui.
Suivant les instructions des Monuments Historiques et après l'approbation de notre architecte, nous avons demandé à notre chef maçon si talentueux de s'attacher à cette tâche pour sauver le chai. Voyez comment il a procédé!
