During normal vision, Light rays pass unhindered through the lens as shown.
Rays are then focused on to the retina, light sensitive tissue, at the back of the eye.
Image is converted to electrical signals that are sent to the brain.
In myopia, a person sees nearby objects clearly.
For away objects are blurred.
It happens, because the rays are focused in front of the retina.
Caused by a cornea that is too steeply curved
Can also be caused by an eye that is longer than normal
