Mom & dad finally tried the full IKEA meal. What makes IKEA meatballs eaten at IKEA so good? Is it all the memories around IKEA? (I tried their frozen ones at home and it just wasn’t the same. FYI, now I can’t have any due to my gluten intolerance😭) My first time going to IKEA was when I was 16. I moved to Canada from Korea by myself (FYI we live in the US now) and it was the place I went to outfit my whole apartment. From then on, it was a place to go every time I moved or started a business for like 30 years. Also I had a few IKEA dates back in the day (secretly imagining what would it be like to be married to the date and shopping for furniture).
So, I guess IKEA to me means something new and exciting. And it seems like IKEA may mean the same for mom and dad; it’s all part of the new and exciting life they have here with us and with you all.
