Chelsea FC has spoken out against the hateful, homophobic abuse striker, Sam Kerr ,and #WSL West Ham midfielder, Kristie Mewis, received online, after announcing they’re expecting a baby in 2025.The club condemned the discrimination, reaffirming their commitment to inclusivity and standing by their players, staff and supporters.
This sentiment was echoed by manager, Sonia Bompastor, and captain, Millie Bright. #Lionesses manager, Sarina Wiegman, has also condemned the hate, saying she is ‘very disappointed’.
