Easiest Questions in UPSC Prelims are Assertion Reason

In prelims 2023, 18 assertion reason type questions were asked. And these are great place to actually practice elimination. If I know one statement is right or wrong, then C or D option, I am done. My answer is done. But at the second place, if I know both statements are right, I just don't understand the relation between them, then we have reduced this problem to a 50% probability. Meaning, my answer will come from the option A or B. And in such a case, just mark an option. Don't worry about what is right or wrong. If you ask 10 questions, 5 will be right and 5 will be wrong. And you will still score 6.5 marks. So, focus on assertion reason. Best of luck.

UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country.
