In today’s patch of the day episode we turn a modular sample player and a simple sequencer into a drum machine! This is one of my favorite patches for live performances. You can use pretty much any sample player with CV control over sample select (I use the 4MS stereo triggered sampler), and a simple 8 step sequencer (I use the Korg SQ-1). In this video I take you through building the patch on a eurorack modular synth in detail. Show you how to bring variations and motion to the patch. Show you the signal flow of the patch in a flowchart. And finally, there are a few audio demos I made with this patch using different sample banks.
