Жанр новой постановки режиссер спектакля Гульнара Галавинская определила как фантазии и сны. Ведь в режиссерской версии спектакля мы не просто следуем за пушкинским сюжетом, но вместе с героями пытаемся ответить на, пожалуй, главный человеческий вопрос: если каждый из нас — сам кузнец своего счастья, почему не всегда оно приходит таким, каким оно видится каждому из нас?
Из всех пяти «Повестей Белкина» «Метель» менее всего «избалована» вниманием театральных и кинорежиссеров — вероятно, потому, что Пушкин в ней озвучивает свои вопросы, но ни на один из них не дает готовых ответов-рецептов. Но, в то же время, именно мистичная природа самой повести и создает ту уникальную, неповторимую атмосферу сценического вихря, в который погрузятся зрители в Театре на Перовской.
Спектакль вошёл в лонг-лист театральной премии зрительcких симпатий «Звезда Театрала»-2018 (номинация «Лучший спектакль для детей и юношества»).

The director of the play Gulnara Galavinskaya defined the genre of the new production as fantasies and dreams. Indeed, in the directorial version of the play, we do not just follow the Pushkin story, but together with the characters we try to answer the main human question: if each of us is the blacksmith of our own happiness, why doesn’t it always come the way each of us sees it ?
Of all five Belkin Tales, Snowstorm is least of all “spoiled” by the attention of theater and film directors - probably because Pushkin voices his questions in it, but doesn’t give any ready-made answers to recipes. But, at the same time, it is the mystical nature of the story itself that creates the unique, inimitable atmosphere of the scenic whirlwind into which spectators will plunge into the Theater on Perovskaya.
The performance was included in the long-list of theatrical audience award “The Star of the Theater” -2018 (nomination “The best performance for children and youth”).
