Syrup-E is a Naarm-based DJ and producer recognized for her high-energy sets that feature pulsating basslines, hypnotic melodies and sultry vocals to create a moody atmosphere. Her music is the soundtrack to a dark fairytale forest rave where every beat invites you to dance amidst the shadows.
Classically trained in piano from a young age, syrup-E developed a deep appreciation for crafting melodies. Once exposed to the vibrant electronic music scene in Melbourne, she began her deep dive into music production and DJing. Since then, she’s served up serious heat to iconic Melbourne clubs and parties including Closer, Hex, Celestia, Revolver Upstairs, New Guernica, Xe54, XYZ, Howler, Technoir, Nexus, Glamorama, Lucky Coq, onesixone and Bloom.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.
