We’re getting one step closer to wheat harvest! Today the boys are diving into the shop to get Mason’s New Holland CR8.90 combine ready by installing a fresh set of MAD Concaves, gifted to us from our friends at @bushelplus . These new concaves are designed to help us thresh cleaner, reduce rotor loss, and ultimately harvest better.True to farmer form, we had a how-to video… but why read instructions when you can figure it out yourself, right? 😅 (For anyone looking to install your own, here's the actual walkthrough: ). The yellow frame for New Holland combines is a “split frame” which makes for an easy switch between concave inserts when you’re going between crops in the field.
