The Runaways es una banda estadounidense de Hard Rock integrada por mujeres, formada en 1975 como ambicioso proyecto del musico y productor Kim Fowley, conto en su mas estable formación con Cherie Currie (Voz), Joan Jett (Guitarra y Voz), Lita Ford (Guitarra), Jackie Fox (Bajo) y Sandy West (Batería), tuvieron gran éxito a finales de los 70 en gran medida por su canción mas famosa Cherry Bomb. Se caracterizaban por mezclar el Glam Rock con la energía del Punk, su discografía apenas consta de 4 álbumes ya que se separaron en 1979 para tomar distintos rumbos, Joan Jett y Lita Ford fueron las que obtuvieron mayor éxito al hacer sus carreras en solitario en la década de los 80.He aquí un Top con mis 15 favoritas...
