The just-released mega compilation album Ponies at Dawn Anthology has its fair share of hard-hitting bangers, and we thought we'd showcase this Nightmare Moon-themed Dubstep piece from syzygy, a taste of the heavy side of the album! Intricate and precise, it portrays Luna's assaults as Nightmare Moon with slick sound design and drops that deliver lethal strikes in musical format!

Many may have used this theme before, but the warfare from the show's first "villain" will forever be a mighty source of inspiration and a beloved theme to reimagine. With a concept of "Nightmare Moon attacking Equestria", this heavy masterpiece displays syzygy's expertise of the genre with a top-notch progression and varied drops whose heaviness and sharpness definitely reflect well the theme and the mare's wicked attacks. The use of vocal samples from Nightmare Moon certainly is another strong aspect of this song, with mad laughs and confident antagonist-monologues-revealing-plot! Grab it along this must-have album! Spooky! When I heard those "glitches" in the first second of the song I knew that I had to do something with it, and this was my chance to give a try at some glitch effects! I'm quite happy with how this intro turned out. It only lasts for one second but it was so worth it! Hope it looks cool to you too!
Also, it's a Dubstep upload, and you know what that means! Eyes shots at the drops! I recreated the English version this time, with "!!" instead of Japanese kanjis. So yeah, it really fits in this upload because of how Nightmare Moon is attacking... and the drops are critical hits!
The Cider Party afficionados might recognize the style of the cover art and the mirroring! That artwork was a pick from our beloved Hackd, and the mirroring was his idea too! I'm happy to uphold some of the channel's signature design and style from the previous run, all while being able to add my own ideas!
