LIMBES, like BLURR THROWER, is a project that aims to express as fully as possible the diegetic vision of Guillaume Galaup, its author.

The aim of LIMBES is to provide a truthful and complete biography, while at the same time attempting to relate his own relationship with depression, religion & his environment. The artist is terrified by notions of finitudes and twilights, faith is both an essential refuge for him and a breeding ground for many of the terrors associated with the post-mortem. The same applies to his ability to describe, in the most sincere colors possible, his feelings about the world on different scales.

LIMBES is therefore an organic confession as much as it is a salvific preaching for its author, through the interplay of mise en abîme and testamentary writings, in which the listener immediately becomes the notary, the witness to a form of transcendental and nebulous prayer, the spectator of a hypersensitive expression.

After more than five years with Nantes-based label Les Acteurs de l'Ombre, LIMBES are very proud to be joining the FROZEN RECORDS, which recognises a wide range of talent in a variety of genres, from Black-Metal to Post-Punk, Gothic Rock and Hardcore. LIMBES feel perfectly at home in this rich but demanding universe, and their album LIERNES will be released on 5 July 2024 under these auspices.

This album of ‘atmospheric’ Black Metal - which is what Black Metal is by nature - is made up of four long-form tracks, with ethereal, distant and nebulous production, produced and mixed by LIMBES. The mastering was done with care and talent by Jack Shirley (DEAFHEAVEN, OATHBREAKER…).

LIMBES remain faithful to their characteristic style of languorous, raw, sensitive and literate Black Metal, true and sincere, while taking care to adopt a more accessible approach than in the past. Long, clear, atmospheric tracks mingle with the artist's usual torrents of hypersensitivity.

The artwork was entirely created by Dehn Sora, an artist renowned internationally for his graphic talent and who has worked with some of the biggest names in the dark alternative music we love, such as BLUT AUS NORD, ULVER and AMENRA.
