What's The Difference Between Great Britain, UK & England 🇬🇧 #shorts
You might have heard names like Great Britain, the United Kingdom, or England. Is it one
country, what do they really mean, and how are they different?
The whole area in Europe is called the British Isles. There are two main islands, the smaller one
is called Ireland, it has two countries: Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The larger
island has three countries: England, Scotland, and Wales.
England is in the south with its capital in London. Scotland is to the north, Edinburgh as its
capital, Wales is to the west, with Cardiff as its capital.
Great Britain is formed by these three countries. And If you add Northern Ireland to Great
Britain, it becomes the United Kingdom. All four countries share a common capital, which is
London.
The Republic of Ireland, with its capital in Dublin, is a separate country. It’s part of the European
Union, unlike the UK.
